A Journey Through Time: The Bacardí Legacy

The Bacardí story is one of innovation, resilience, and passion. Founded in 1862 by Don Facundo Bacardí Massó in Santiago de Cuba, Bacardí revolutionized rum-making with pioneering techniques like charcoal filtration and aging in white oak barrels. These methods not only set Bacardí apart but also elevated rum to a premium spirit.

In the 1930s, facing political turmoil in Cuba, the Bacardí family relocated their operations to Puerto Rico. This move ensured the continuation of their rum-making legacy. Today, Casa Bacardí in Cataño stands as a tribute to this enduring heritage, blending over 150 years of history with modern-day innovation.
